Adrianna N. Laughlin

Adrianna N. Laughlin is an inspiring young lady that touches people's hearts. Adrianna was born with a chronic medical condition called Hydrocephalus. The doctors placed a shunt to help drain the spinal fluid from her brain. A shunt is a device that hooks up to the brain or spinal cord to help relieve the spinal fluid pressure from the brain. She went through many surgeries as a baby and young child and still receives treatment if there's a problem. Adrianna graduated from Utica High School class of 2014. Then she registered for college at Macomb Community College working towards nursing. Adrianna is still attending college while working for a day care facility where she cares for infants. Adrianna N. Laughlin is an inspiration to her coworkers and friends due to her perseverance through tough times.

Sandra Bower

Sandra Bower is an inspiration person to her country. Sandra, who was formerly homeless herself struggle in life with little education only finishing the 9th grade. While working two jobs she had a son at the age of 15. Sandra with ambition to make a change started her first  business at the age of 25. Her business was a Legal Processors Service, then Travel Agency. Now, Sandra currently running her Credit Card Processing Service business while reaching out to others in need. In 2013 Sandra, the founder open up Vets Returning Home center that is a non-profit agency. The center is located in Roseville, Mi. that is designed to helping struggle veterans and provide assistance. Sandra Bower is outstanding women that inspires her son and the people around her for supporting veterans at the Vets Returning Home center.

Mickey Mullins

Mickey Mullins is an inspiration to the people of Detroit.  Mickey went to school at Louis College of Business. He graduated in 1996 with a Bachelor Degree in Business. While working as a truck driver, things took a turn for the worst and he lost his job. Mickey was homeless, staying at Detroit Rescue Mission. The Detroit Rescue Mission is a shelter that helps feed and house people everyday and Mickey was a part of that. Now, Mickey has been working at the Detroit Rescue Mission for four years as a supervisor and volunteers helping others. Mickey Mullins is an inspirational person to the people at the shelter. His experience shows that anything is possible through hard work and determination.

Everyone can make a difference in peoples' lives at Detroit Rescue Mission shelter. The shelter is located on 3535 3rd St, Detroit, Michigan. They reach out to hundreds of people each day using donations they collected and donations collected from other charity organizations each year. Let's continue on helping others by contacting or going to the nearest shelter to make donations.

Fighting to Find the Cure for Cancer

There are many forms of cancer that we face and need treatment for. Cancer is known as a malignant tumor that involves abnormal cell growth with the potential to invade or spread to other parts of the body. The effects that it has on our lives going through chemotherapy, radiation and even surgical procedures that is unbelievable. There are over 100 different types of cancers like lung cancer, prostate cancer, breast cancer, cervical cancer and many more. We do have health centers and hospitals in place that specialize in treatment that can talk to you how to treat and prevent this disease. There are organized fundraiser and charities that host marathons to raise money to help fight the cure for this disease. Please contact your local doctor's office or hospital if you feel concern about your health.

Steven Reed

Steven Reed is an inspirational person in the artists world. Steven has been painting for at least twenty years specializing in different forms of art like; charcoal, pastel drawings, and other portrait arts. He went to school at Oakland Community College majoring in Art. Steven graduated in the year 2010 with an Associate Degree in Applied Arts. He also started taking up classes at his church in business to begin his future in the art world. Steven opened up his own business named, Perfect Image Portraits, that is located inside Eastland Mall in Harper Woods, Michigan. Steven Reed is an outstanding artists that makes time to inspire other students in high school while continuing to further his business that has been open for 10 years.

Taylor J. Primeau

Taylor J. Primeau is an inspiration to the young generation of students in the work force. Taylor graduated from Utica High School in the year 2012 and went straight to college. She is attending school at Macomb Community College majoring in Nursing. She is hoping to one day become a Registered Nurse. Taylor works at Kraft Chiropractic Clinic in Michigan as a secretary assistant. She has been work there for three years and her job consists of scheduling appointments and collecting insurance information for billing. Taylor is an inspiring person to her coworkers and those whom she trains and mentors at work.

Dr. Kirk E. Hilborn

Dr. Kirk E. Hilborn is an inspirational person who works in the  medical field. Dr. Hilborn attended Oakland University and graduated in 1994, majoring in Biochemistry. He also attended Cleveland Chiropractic College in 1996 and graduated from there in 1999. Dr. Hilborn, works at Bi- County Chiropractic where he has been treating patients for 15 years. His job includes diagnosing,  giving treatment, and preventing mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system. Dr. Kirk E. Hilborn is an inspiration to his coworkers and he is an inspiration to the future chiropractors that he occasionally mentors at his office.

Sonya C. Rucker

Sonya C. Rucker is a wonderful, inspirational person to the people of Detroit. Sonya went to school at Northwood University College and majored in Health Care Management.  She works for the City of Detroit as a Parking Enforcement Officer. Sonya has been an enforcement officer for 3 years dealing with all types of parking violation behaviors.  She occasionally encounters rude and very unkind people with different excuses to avoid getting a parking ticket. Sonya's job can be very dangerous, but she always stays positive and inspires other enforcement officers. When Sonya is at home, she volunteers her time at her son's school for the Parent Empowerment Organization. Sonya is an inspirational person to other enforcement officers as she represents the City of Detroit.



Sgt. Brian Harris

Sergeant Brian Harris is an inspirational person to those he served with in the service and the people of Detroit. When Brian graduated from high school, he joined the Air Force and was on active duty for 6 years and  he was in the Air Force Reserves for 15 years. He attended college at Northwood University and received an undergrad degree. Brian also went to Central Michigan University and received  a masters degree in Public Administration. Next, he joined the Detroit Police Academy in 1998 and graduated in 1999 while still in the reserves in the Air Force. In 2011, he retired from the reserves as a Master Sergeant and  has been a Detroit Police Officer for 15 years. When Brian is at home with his family, he volunteers his time helping shelters feed and cloth the homeless. Sgt. Brian Harris is an outstanding inspirational person for his years of service and for helping those, in need, in his community.

Officer Emanuel Roberson

Officer Emanuel Roberson is an inspirational person to the people of Detroit. Emanuel went to college majoring in Criminal Justice. He graduated with a Associate Degree in two years and joined the Detroit Police Academy. Emanuel graduated from the academy in 1999 and has inspired many of his fellow coworkers. His future plan is to open a restaurant while mentoring other people around him. Officer Emanuel Roberson is an inspiration to his family and to the people he serves in the city.

Brennan L. Kostallari

Brennan L. Kostallari experienced a lot of obstacles growing up and overcoming them that makes her an inspiration to the people in her life. Brennan was raised in California and as an adult moved to Michigan. She was born deaf. Learning sign language and how to read lips was a challenge for her, but she kept working at it until she was successful. Brennan graduated from Kaplan Career Institute in 2009, majoring in Medical Assistance. She volunteers her time helping homeless at the Health Living Project. Another obstacle Brennan overcame was being strong when faced with Thyroid Cancer. The cancer started in the thyroid gland that is located at bottom of her lower neck. Brennan had the thyroid cancer removed and went through radiation treatment. Through these treatments she was able to gain some of her hearing. This was a blessing for her as she furthered her career at Costco as a employee in the Hearing Aid Department. Brennan is an inspirational person to many people who have seen her overcome adversity a number of times. She inspires others to never give up and to keep fighting to reach their goals.

ALS Awareness

There are many challenges we face in this world like ALS. The (ALS) Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, known as Lou Gehrig's Disease, attacks the cells in the brain that can lead to weakness in the muscles. Then it causes paralysis that can lead to respiratory failure. We continue to promote ALS awareness by doing the Ice Bucket Challenge. The ice bucket challenge has raised over $100 million dollars to help researchers find the cure for this disease.  Let's continue to learn more about ALS and promote awareness through the Ice Bucket Challenge everyone.

He's attending college at Wayne County Community College and Siena Heights University majoring in Criminal Justice, to further his career in law. Curtis spends the majority of his time making sure the communities are safe by patrolling the streets and neighborhoods. Sgt. Neil Lazarecky

Neil Lazarecky is an inspirational person to his parents and to the people of America. Neil graduated from Sterling Heights High School in the class of 2009 and registered for college right away. He attended college at Macomb Community College for a year, majoring in Liberal Arts. Neil decided to further his education and enlist in the Navy in the year 2011 and is still on active duty.  While on duty, he learns how to do new trades and how to protect his country. Others look up to him as a role model for his strength and courage. Neil is an inspirational person to his country and parents, Robert and Pamela Lazarecky.


Lee and Aaron Lazarecky

Lee and Aaron Lazarecky are inspirational people to their family and country. Lee and Aaron both graduated from Sterling Heights High School in the class of 2010. They are attending college at Wayne State University, majoring in different studies. Lee is majoring in Computer Engineering and Aaron is majoring in Electrical Engineering. While in college, they also are enlisted in the Air National Guard to further their careers at the Selfridge Air National Guard Base in Michigan. They work hard to keep up their grades in school while helping their country! Lee and Aaron both inspire their parents, Robert and Pamela Lazarecky, and others with their dedication to serving in the Air National Guard.

Kristy J. Smith

Kristy J. Smith is inspirational to others for her love for animals. Kristy attends Baker College and is majoring in Veterinary Science. She devotes her time helping animals in need. She works with Almost Home Animal Rescue, which is located in Southfield, Michigan. She helps a few times a year at the shelter with feeding, cleaning, and adoptions of the animals when she is not working at Costco as a pharmacy tech. Kristy inspires other pet owners with her love for her pet dog and other animals.

Dawn M.Townsend

Dawn M.Townsend is an inspirational person in life. While as a single parent, struggling to raise three children, she inspired herself to become a school teacher. Dawn graduated from Oakland University with a bachelor and master degree in education, teaching in an urban school district in Michigan. There, she has taught for 13 years in different grade levels, facing problems like the lack of school supplies, food and other accessories that the students might need. To help the students for the year, she started collecting money, bottles, and supplies from others to help raise money so her students could have what they needed. Dawn has inspired other teachers and became an inspirational women to her family and to other parents.

Shamlord Kaza inspires people through his talented art work. Shamlord is a self taught artist. He started creating art at the age of 8. He is continuing to grow his talent by attending WSU in Michigan and majoring in The School of Arts. Shamlord has different talents like painting and sculpting. He has paintings and sculptures of his wife, son and two grandchildren. He lived in Trinidad in the Caribbean and moved around in the United States to further his life experience.  Shamlord's work is inspirational to others. Another way he inspires is by volunteering for the African World Festival. This festival exposes and teaches about African culture and art.

Dan R. Lee is an inspirational person at work and at home. Dan, a Michigan Conservation Officer, works in different areas of Michigan patrolling to help keep people safe. He has been an officer for 15 years and has been assisting state troopers patrolling Belle Isle. He graduated from MSU in 1996 with a bachelor degree in Fishery Wildlife Management. In his home town of Frankenmuth, where he lives with his wife and three children, Dan gives some of his personal time to coaching a soccer team. Dan chose a career serving the public and also gives back to his community by coaching. These services make Dan an inspiration to the people around him.

Shea L.Townsend

Shea L. Townsend, a wife and mother of five children, inspires others through her workout center. She works at Shake It Up Wellness Nutrition Center, which is located in Palm Beach, Florida. At the center, she works with a group of people who she trains during their workout session. She also teaches them how to keep up a healthy diet and the importance of eating healthy foods. Shea contributes most of her time on educating others about how to prevent diabetes, heart disease, and other medical problems.


Sgt. Bryan M. Buchan

Sergeant Bryan M. Buchan, a Michigan State Trooper, makes time to be inspirational to others. He graduated from Michigan State University in 1994 with a bachelor degree in criminal justice. Since then, he has been working as a Michigan State Trooper for 19 years. Bryan also patrols Belle Isle to ensure everyone's safety and defuse trouble when needed. He inspires his coworkers by devoting his time to keeping the park clean. Sgt. Bryan M. Buchan is an inspirational officer to the people of Detroit and the State of Michigan.

Nancy Jo Kulikowski

Nancy Jo Kulikowski became an inspirational women to those fighting cancer. She was diagnosed with a cancer called Non - Hodgkins lymphoma that originates in the lymphocytic system. The disease spreads throughout the body and tumors develop from lymphocytes-a type of white blood cell. Nancy was treated at the hospital for several months with many treatments of chemo and blood transfusions. She did this all while away from her husband and two children. Through prayers and love, she was able to return home to her family and go back to work at Costco. Nancy still has her regular checkups every four months and plans to start a fundraiser to help others with similar cancer.

Cheryl M. Gordon

Cheryl M. Gordon, a photographer for 9 years, inspires people with her photography. Cheryl worked at Keepsake Photography Studio for two years. While there she grew her talent for taking professional pictures. Her creativity and talent has allowed her to start her own business, Wanderer Studio. She inspires people by being able to balance her photography with being a wife and mother of four. Another way Cheryl inspires others is by getting involved in the student exchange program. She opened her house to a student from Norway for one year. She helped the student become one of the family with her kindness and willingness to do for others. Cheryl will continue to inspire others to reach for their dreams through her actions.

Lisa Perdue

Lisa Perdue has worked at Costco for 16 years and does manage to inspire others. She contributes a lot of effort raising money for CMN "Children Miracle Network". Lisa, a wife and a mother, attends Covenant Christian Church International in Mount Clemens. There, she participates in the garden that was created to help feed the community from donations by Home Depot. Lisa still continues to be an inspirational person by sponsoring a 9 year old girl, Abigail Wiabo, from Ghana.
