The Susan G. Komen organization started from a promise to a dying sister to raise awareness about breast cancer. The promise a sister kept. Nancy G. Brinker made the promise to her sister, Susan, to help find a cure for this disease. The Susan G. Komen foundation has grown to be in more than 30 countries.
